Apple is expected to release the 2019 MacBook Pro by the middle of the year and tech enthusiasts have started speculating on what to expect from the company’s next laptop.

One of the most notable rumors about the device is a total redesign. Apple released the MacBook Pro with the OLED Touch Bar three years ago and fans feel it’s time for a new design upgrade. According to Digital Trends, the company will be offering a 16-inch MacBook Pro variant to add to the existing 13-inch and 15-inch lineups.

Trusted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple is actually preparing for an “all-new” design, but no specific details have been released yet. Some fans are expecting yet another thinner and lighter laptop with slimmer bezels, a feature that’s available on the latest models of Huwaei and Dell computers.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that 4K OLED panels for laptops have started shipping to manufacturers this month. There could be a big chance that these panels will make their way to the 2019 MacBook Pro.

Additional ports for USB and SD Cards are also rumored to be in the pipeline, but there’s still no confirmation yet.

An exciting change to look forward to is a possible upgrade in the Macbook keyboard. Apple recently showcased a patent for a transformable glass keyboard for the MacBook.

If applied, this will be a huge improvement to the butterfly keyboard, which is susceptible to damage when dirt passes through the keys. The glass keyboard will be a multi-layer system that leaves room for a touch-sensing layer underneath.

Some experts are expecting that the new MacBook will be powered by a new 9th-generation H series mobile Intel processors, the newest and most high-end chips designed for powerful laptops. The new processors will be the successors to the 8th-generation, six-core processors that are currently powering the existing 15-inch MacBook Pro.

According to Forbes, the upcoming MacBooks could have the new Core i7 and Core i9 processors. The mobile processors, which are mainly used for gaming laptops since they can offer better graphics and faster performance, are expected to be available in the second quarter of the year.

More amazing features are rumored to be part of the new laptop series. Everything will be officially revealed during the 2019 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
