A 16-inch MacBook Pro with an “all-new” look and feel is rumored to finally be coming this year along with other Apple goodies like a 31.6-inch 6K display with a Mini LED-like backlight design.

This is according to a research note obtained by MacRumors from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. However, there’s a big chance that the new Apple computers won’t be arriving just yet.

Although Kuo is described to be a well-connected analyst, a report from the Verge expressed that to launch an “all-new” model is surprising since Apple just released the Touch Bar models in 2016.

Apple is known to have a four-year interval before releasing new models. The MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, for example, was released four years after the Mac Pro with Retina Display was introduced.

Interestingly, Apple revealed in 2017 that it was indeed working on some new models, giving hope to Apple fans that a new lineup might actually be coming soon.

“With regards to the Mac Pro, we are in the process of what we call ‘completely rethinking the Mac Pro.’ We’re working on it. We have a team working hard on it right now, and we want to architect it so that we can keep it fresh with regular improvements,” Phil Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing for Apple, said in a statement.

Now even if it’s still a rumor, the new lineup is something that Mac enthusiasts should look forward to. The new MacBook Pro is rumored to be sporting a bigger 16- to 16.5-inch display, which is an inch wider than the previously released model back in 2016. A 13-inch MacBook Pro with 32GB of RAM is also believed to be on the horizon.

In addition, the rumored lineup is said to be the tech giant’s re-entry into the pro display market considering the rumored launch of the 31.6-inch 6K display with a Mini LED-like backlight design.

Aside from the new computer models, Apple fans are also anticipating the arrival of new iPhone and iPad models along with new accessories such as the Airpower charging mat later this year.
