The drama kicked up in a big way on soap operas this week, with shocking twists in storylines, major bombshells being dropped, and other dramatic moments closing out on “Days of Our Lives,” “The Young and the Restless,” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

The few big moments this week certainly packed a punch however because of the several other quieter ones that surrounded them, and that hard punch each big moment gave could be one which will be felt on each individual show for some time. Deimos Is Murdered—But Who Did It?

Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) was unquestionably the most hated man in all of Salem. Everyone hoped he would eventually pay for the things he’s done, but no one expected for the revenge they all sought to play out the way it did. After he drugged everyone with Halo 2.0 during the Marton House party in an attempt to steal the Ramses Amulet from Sonny (Freddie Smith), Deimos ended the night dead—with a knife stuck in his chest and heart. While his death marks the end of his reign of terror on everyone’s lives, it also means one of them is a murderer—but since they were all drugged, no one can remember if they really committed the crime. Now, after Lani (Sal Stowers) revealed that she remembered JJ (Casey Moss) attacking Deimos, and blood was found on his shirt, JJ is the prime suspect. The test on the blood has also since proven it belongs to Deimos, meaning he’s now being charged in the murder. The question remains however—was he the one that did it, or is he taking the fall for another person’s crime?

Nicole Officially Gives Lizzie To Rick And Maya

After refusing to sign the adoption papers again because she felt the clerical error was a sign that she should keep Lizzie for herself, Nicole (Reign Edwards) decided to end the drama between herself and her father Julius (Obba Babatunde), and her sister, Maya (Karla Mosley), borther-in-law, Rick (Jacob Young), husband, Zende (Rome Flynn), and mother, Vivienne (Anna Maria Horsford). Despite knowing she may never have another biological child of her own with Zende, Nicole decided to do the right thing and keep the promise she made to Maya a long time ago, and officially signed away her rights as Lizzie’s biological mother, cementing Rick and Maya’s adoption of the little girl.
