“Zero Dark Thirty” star Jennifer Ehle will join Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie adaptation, The Hollywood Reporter wrote. The 43-year-old actress will play Anastasia Steele’s mother Carla, the news site confirmed. The Internet Movie Database, however, has yet to credit Ehle with the role.

The actress is known for her roles in “Contagion,” “The Ides of March” and “The Kings Speech.” Some might also remember her for her work in the 1995 miniseries “Pride and Prejudice.”

For fans, finding out who will play Anastasia’s mother is yet another piece in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” puzzle. The movie, which will begin filming in November, is still missing several supporting actors.

The heavy backlash of having “Sons of Anarchy” actor Hunnam star as Christian Grey, the 27-year-old Seattle billionaire with a penchant for BDSM, has generally subsided as fans wait to see who will play the kinky lovers' family members, like sister Mia and brother Elliot. Fans are also looking forward to knowing who will play Anastasia's sultry best friend, Kate Kavanagh.

The story centers around the virginal Anastasia being seduced by the enigmatic billionaire. The couple start their affair by engaging in a passionate S&M relationship before ultimately falling in love. Ana’s mother, Carla, is described in the book a forgetful and fickle woman with multiple marriages under her belt.

Kelly Marcel wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation EL James' best-selling erotic novel. It will directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti, along with James. The movie is set to debut in theaters on Aug. 1, 2014 and the official trailer is supposed to premiere during Super Bowl Sunday on Feb. 2.
