Adam Sandler proved he still had the "Happy Gilmore" swing as he celebrates the 25th anniversary of his hit 1996 film.

Sandler took to Twitter on Tuesday to share a video of him taking a swing on the golf course.

“It’s been 25 years since I’ve done this, let’s see what happens. Shooter McGavin, this is for you,” Sandler said before swinging his golf club in a style reminiscent of the titular character.

“I’m not lying to you. That is smashed. Smashed. That went pretty well. You’re dead, Shooter,” he added after the ball went flying.

The actor also thanked his fans for their support. "Happy loves you all! Thanks for everything!" he wrote in the post, which has now received over half a million likes.

In the Dennis Dugan movie, Sandler starred as Happy Gilmore, a retired hockey player who participates in a golf tournament to save his grandmother’s house. Christopher McDonald played Shooter McGavin, his rival in the film.

McDonald also shared a video on Twitter as a response to Sandler’s challenge.

“Nice drive, Gilmore. 25 years, huh? Let’s see if it’s shooters tour,” he said before he shot a golf ball into a glass placed on the floor.

“Thank you to all the fans and thank you to you, Adam Sandler, and why don’t you just meet me at the ninth green at 9, Gilmore?” McDonald said in the video, adding, “Oh and Gilmore, wear something nice.”

Ben Stiller, who had a cameo in "Happy Gilmore," commented on Sandler's video, writing, "That’s a beautiful swing Mr. Gilmore. Congrats on your anniversary, and being such a loving grandson. So happy to be a small part of taking good care of her during her 'golden years.'"

Meanwhile, Sandler recently teased another movie with his friend and frequent collaborator, Drew Barrymore.

During the 2020 MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time Special, Barrymore and Sandler bagged the Dynamic Duo award for their performances in "The Wedding Singer," "50 First Dates" and "Blended."

"It was so much fun to make a movie with you in every of the last three decades," Barrymore said in their virtual acceptance speech, to which Sandler responded, "Yes, yes, and Drew, it's 2020 so you know what that means…"

The actress guessed: "Everything sucks?"

"Yeah that's true," the 54-year-old actor agreed. "But also, it's a new decade so we get to make another movie together."

"Right, well let's wait until we find something amazing, we do have 10 years," Barrymore suggested, but then Sandler quipped, "Nine years and one month."
