Most Bollywood stars are constantly trying to land even diminutive roles in Hollywood movies, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would toe a different line.

According to unconfirmed reports in the Indian media, Bachchan had turned down the offer of a role in Troy opposite Brad Pitt. The reports say the role of Briseis in “Troy” was first offered to Ash. When she turned it down, the two-time Oscar nominated director Wolfgang Peterson gave it to Rose Byrne, an IMDB report says.

Apparently, Peterson was keen on featuring an extremely good-looking actress and zeroed in on Bachchan, who is touted as the “most beautiful woman”.

According to Bollywood Mantra, she rejected the role because she wasn’t comfortable with explicit intimate scenes in it. She also had other commitments in Bollywood at that time.

Bachchan is the most popular Indian face in Hollywood; she has already carved her niche as an actress in Hollywood blockbusters like The Pink Panther 2, Provoked, The Mistress of Spices and The Last Legion.

She is yet to make her comeback in Bollywood after she gave birth to a daughter in November.
