The "Aladdin" live-action movie won't premiere until May 2019, but Disney is already releasing some exciting teasers for the film. New photos of the "Aladdin" live-action movie cast have just been released online, and it seems like Aladdin (Mena Massoud) may be in danger of being overshadowed by Jafar (Marwan Kenzari), if the Twitter reactions are anything to go by.

Kenzari is set to play Jafar in the "Aladdin" live-action movie. He's no newcomer in the industry as he has already starred in American films such as "The Mummy" and "Murder on the Orient Express." However, after Entertainment Weekly released a new photo of the award-winning Dutch actor as Jafar, Twitter can't seem to get enough of this hot "new" discovery.

Some Twitter users wrote that they are definitely on Team Jafar and are rooting for him to end up with Jasmine (Naomi Scott) instead of the street-rat-turned-prince. Check out some of the hilarious Twitter responses to Jafar below:

If that's not enough to get you into Team Jafar, Kenzari previously revealed in an interview with Associated Press that he took down all of his social media pages because he doesn't believe in it. But he used to have an Instagram account where he used to post about poetry.

Entertainment Weekly also released photos of Jasmine, Aladdin and Genie (Will Smith). Smith's Genie was not as well-received as Kenzari's Jafar, mostly because he was not blue like in the original "Aladdin." Some fans are definitely feeling betrayed that the film is not staying true to the original. See some of the Twitter responses to Genie below:

Fortunately, it looks like the "Aladdin" live-action movie may live up to the original as Smith promised that his character will be blue in the actual film.

In an interview with EW, Smith previously said that he hopes to live up to the legacy of the late Robin Williams, who voiced the Genie in the original "Aladdin."

“Whenever you’re doing things that are iconic, it’s always terrifying,” Smith said. “[But] I started to feel confident that I could deliver something that was an homage to Robin Williams but was musically different. Just the flavor of the character would be different enough and unique enough that it would be in a different lane, versus trying to compete.”
