Alex Rodriguez threw a thumbs-up to the paparazzi while hitting the streets on the Big Apple this weekend amid reports about his ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez’s reunion with Ben Affleck.

The American former professional baseball shortstop flashed a huge grin for the cameras as he headed to a popular eatery called Bar Pitti. Rodriguez was spotted dining solo for part of his meal at the Greenwich Village restaurant and was joined by an unidentified man later on.

The ex-Yankee has been keeping his spirits up since his shocking split from Lopez in April. Rodriguez has, reportedly, been getting support from his family and close friends.

In May, Rodriguez was seen at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame ceremony in Springfield, Massachusetts. The new Timberwolves owner was even sighted having dinner at TAO Restaurant at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut with business partner Marc Lore.

Rodriguez and Lore, who is the former CEO of Walmart U.S. eCommerce, are said to be buying Minnesota’s NBA franchise. However, the deal still needs the approval of the NBA owners.

The sports star was even snapped at a special event last month with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis and her husband Angel Nicolas, as well as his daughters Natasha and Ella. Rodriguez even shared numerous photos of his family posing on the red carpet on the night and wrote a heartfelt caption.

"I’ve been blessed to win many awards during my career, but tonight was truly special. The honor I received tonight wasn’t for home runs, or great defense, or winning a championship,” Rodriguez penned on Twitter.

"As a kid, the Boys & Girls Club really saved my life. I was at our club every day after school attempting to do my homework and then at night, I got to play baseball under the lights. It was life-changing. It gave me a place to go, while teaching me valuable life lessons about competition, working hard, and giving back,” he further said.

Meanwhile, Lopez and Affleck were said to be rekindling their romance two months after the “Let’s Get Loud” hitmaker and Rodriguez called off their engagement following four years of dating.

An unnamed source even told Page Six that Lopez and Affleck had a “very cuddly” dinner date at the Pendry hotel in West Hollywood on Memorial Day. Although neither of them has confirmed being an official couple, several photos of the pair outside the venue suggested they are back together.
