Amber Heard addressed the media assembled outside London’s High Court after the three-week trial in Johnny Depp’s libel case against The Sun came to an end on July 28.

Amber Heard spoke with the members of the press soon after the end of the Johnny Depp’s libel case. The actress revealed that it was “incredibly painful” to have her truth questioned in court, but she declared her full faith in the U.K.’s justice system.

The actress, who appered emotional while addressing the media, also made it clear that she is standing by her “testimony,” Page Six reported. The “Aquaman” star also noted that she just wants to “move on” after finalizing her divorce and would have preferred to not appear in court.

“It has been incredibly painful to relive the break up of my relationship, my motives and my truth questioned, and the most traumatic and intimate details of my life with Johnny shared in court and broadcast around the world. I stand by my testimony and I now place my faith in British justice,” Page Six quoted Heard, as saying.

“After obtaining a restraining order in 2016 and finalizing my divorce, I just wanted to move on with my life. I did not file this lawsuit and, despite its significance, I would have preferred not to be here in court,” she added.

The 34-year-old actress also expressed gratitude toward the people working in court and the police for ensuring her safety, so that she could testify without facing any difficulties. Heard also thanked her fans for all the support and good wishes that she received during the trial.

“My heartfelt thanks for the tremendous outpouring of support and the many messages I have received from around the world. You have given so much strength and I send it back to you,” Heard said while addressing the media.

Depp filed a lawsuit against News Group Newspaper and The Sun over a 2018 article that labeled him a “wife-beater.” The “Pirates Of The Caribbean” star, while appearing in court, said multiple times that he never hit Heard and was never violent toward her.

During the closing arguments, Depp’s lawyer said Heard is the “abuser” in the particular case and claimed that his client is not a “wife-beater.”

On the other hand, Heard insisted in court that Depp physically assaulted her on multiple occasions.

No date for the ruling was given.
