The premiere of “American Horror Story: 1984” is rapidly approaching, and the release of three teaser trailers has fans excited about what’s come on Season 9. Although longtime cast member, Sarah Paulson doesn’t have a lead role in the latest installment, it doesn’t mean she will be completely absent from the anthology series.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 44-year-old teased her possible return to the series. “You never know, I may pop up. You never know. No promises though,” she said of the upcoming season.

Paulson went on to confess that missing out on “American Horror Story” Season 9 has left her feeling conflicted. “It’s a little bittersweet because I have a lot of friends who are still on the show,” the actress explained.

“So I’m getting updates about how it’s all going, and what they’re doing, and I’m like, ‘Wait, what? You worked until two? Oh, I remember working until two on that show.’ And then I’m also very glad that I can wake up at a decent hour because I’m not cross-eyed from having worked insane nights.”

While Paulson won’t be around for the on set fun, she is looking forward to watching her friends in the 80s’ slasher movie-themed season. “I’ll be watching and cheering everybody on. I’m really excited for this season. I think it’s a really cool idea for the show this year,” she shared.

Paulson’s comments come after FX released three new promos for “AHS: 1984.” The new trailers tease a cliché of 80s slasher murder scene scenarios. The first trailer, titled, “The Void,” features a serial killer dragging his knife across a camp cabin.

A young woman then opens the door to investigate the noise, and is pulled back into the dark cabin as she screams in horror.

In the second teaser, titled, “Parked,” a couple is seen making out in an isolated location. The killer suddenly appears in their car, however, the pair is not aware of his presence. Although the scene comes to an abrupt end, a terrifying scream is heard.

In the last promo video, titled, “Dead Car,” a young woman is seen trying to start her car multiple times only have her engine fail. As the killer gets closer to her vehicle, she is eventually able to start her car just as he appears next to her window.

Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Cody Fern and Leslie Grossman are some of the “American Horror Story” alum tapped to return for another season.

“American Horror Story: 1984” premieres Wednesday, Sept. 18 on FX.
