  • The popular television series is created by Ryan Murphy

Actress Sarah Paulson has revealed season 10 of the "American Horror Story" might be her last.

The 46-year-old Golden Globe winner said this during her appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" on Thursday. Paulson was asked about her next collaboration with the series co-creator Ryan Murphy, to which the actress replied, "I don't know. It's the first time in about three years where I don't know."

"I think this is my last season of [American] Horror Story, probably. I mean, I don't know," she explained. "Every time [Murphy] comes to me with some whack-a-doodle character, I tend to be like, 'Yes, let's do it!' I don't know, this is the first time. So we'll see."

The actress has also been a regular on "American Horror Story" since 2011. In June, she reflected on season 6 and said she felt "trapped by my responsibility and my contractual obligation to do American Horror Story" in an interview with the Awards Chatter podcast.

"I was so underwhelmed by the whole experience because I felt like I had entered into a new place inside of myself in terms of what I thought possible, in terms of what I might be willing to see if I can do," she explained.

"American Horror Story" season 10 is currently streaming on the Hulu platform. It consists of 10 episodes, with the next one slated to release on Sept. 22.

Besides "American Horror Story," the actress also stars in "Impeachment: American Crime Story" as Linda Tripp.

Last month, the actress spoke about her physical appearance in the series. "I think fatphobia is real. I think to pretend otherwise causes further harm," she told the Los Angeles Times.

This series is also created by Murphy in which Paulson's character helped expose Bill Clinton's affair with activist Monica Lewinsky. The actress wore prosthetics and a wig for the role. Paulson has been a regular on the series since 2016. The third season premiered on Sept. 7. 10 p.m., on FX.

Meanwhile, Paulson will also be presenting the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards on Sept. 20.
