KEY POINTS

  • Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes' co-workers reportedly expressed unhappiness working with them
  • Holmes' conduct was put into question, and there were also allegations against Robach
  • Robach was reportedly accused of going to work drunk and keeping alcohol in her dressing room

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes' co-workers were reportedly not surprised that ABC let them go following their suspension over their alleged affair, according to a report.

Robach and Holmes are officially no longer working for ABC. While the network's decision may have surprised some, it was reportedly not a shock to those who worked with them. Some of their co-workers even had some complaints about them.

"Those who worked directly with T.J. and Amy had complaints about them and expressed their unhappiness," an anonymous source told Entertainment Tonight. "His general conduct was put into question. Amy also had her fair share of accusations thrown her way and seemed to have rubbed people the wrong way too."

An anonymous source told OK! magazine that while Holmes was accused of extramarital affairs, Robach had unfounded complaints, prompting the network to also axe her.

"Everything they are bringing up is so minor having to do with Amy," the source told the outlet about the network's contentious mediation with the couple.

One of the odd complaints was Robach allegedly came to work drunk. The insider denied it, saying Robach was only tired at the time.

Another complaint against her was she allegedly kept alcohol in her dressing room, violating the network's policies. However, the tipster said the bottles were not open.

"That's how ridiculous that has gotten," the insider added. "In media, you get sent bottles [as gifts], and the bottles in her room were sealed. They are using any excuse. Other people in the office also have alcohol, it's everywhere, and it's unopened."

As for Holmes, the former CNN correspondent was accused of having multiple affairs.

Holmes allegedly had months-long affair with an intern 13 years her senior, Jasmin Pettaway, then 24. They reportedly had sex in his office while on the job.

He also had an affair with producer Natasha Singh. A source told Page Six that Robach felt "blindsided" by her rumored boyfriend's office scandals.

The news of discontent at the workplace came after ABC announced their official exit Friday. ABC News president Kim Godwin sent out a letter to staff informing them of the news.

"I want to share with you that we've reached a decision about T.J. and Amy," the letter read. "Here is the statement that we are about to release: 'After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it's best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.' The decision about who will co-anchor 'GMA3' and '20/20' will come later."

Holmes and Robach seemed unbothered with their departure from ABC. She was photographed straddling Holmes following their exit.
