Angelea Preston, America's Next Top Model Finalist, Disqualified: Why?

America's Next Top Model finished with shocking results on Wednesday night after the expected winner, Angelea Preston, was suddenly disqualified from the competition.

Lisa D'Amato, Allison Harvard and Angelea Preston stood in front of the ANTM judges waiting for them to reveal the winner, but instead they made an announcement of a different kind: Disqualification. Without stating a reason the panel revealed that Preston was out of the competition and D'amato and Harvard would be battling for the crown as a duo.

D'amato was finally named the winner, but ANTM fans have been more interested as to why Preston was dismissed so abruptly.

According to People Magazine, CW issued a statement explaining that information had been obtained about Preston after the final filming of the show, which led to her disqualification. As a result, new scenes were filmed to address this for the audience during the finale, the company said in a statement.

So why did Preston get the boot?

The most widespread rumor surrounding the controversy is that Preston was originally crowned the winner but after posting spoilers on her Facebook page she breached the rules of the competition.

Preston hasn't offered an explanation since her disqualification but shortly after the show was aired she tweeted:
