Conservative political commentator Ann Coulter came under fire on Twitter after she said it had been "a lot of fun" to see people like Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein face sexual misconduct allegations in recent weeks.

In an interview with "Good Morning Britain" on Monday, Coulter was asked about sexual harassment allegations leveled against actor Spacey by Anthony Rapp. Responding to the question, she said: "I hope it's not true. I like him as an actor. On the other hand, I love all of the allegations coming out against all of these big Hollywood types like Harvey Weinstein." She further added: "That's been a lot of fun."

The comments came after Rapp had said in an interview with Buzzfeed that Spacey climbed on top of him at a party in 1986. Spacey issued a public apology to Rapp and said he did not remember the incident with Rapp, but owed him an apology for the "deeply inappropriate drunken behavior."

Coulter's comments were not well received by the co-host of the show, Susanna Reid, who later on in the show remarked in reply: "It’s not a lot of fun for the women, or indeed the men who are making the allegations." Many others on Twitter followed suit and condemned Coulter for calling the allegations a "lot of fun."

Another user wrote, "Stupid choice of words by @AnnCoulter... she finds the allegations 'fun' ! Not so fun for the victims though is it!! @GMB #GMB #MeToo."

One tweet read: "Did @AnnCoulter just say that all the stories about sexual harassment are 'a lot fun' on @gmb? Not a lot of fun for the women!!! #shocking.”

Some also praised Reid for not letting Coulter’s comments pass.

Coulter has previously attacked many from Hollywood for not speaking up about Weinstein earlier.

Actresses: "How do I tell my daughters about Trump?" I ask: "How do you tell your daughters you did nothing about Weinstein for movie roles?" she wrote in a tweet.

In a panel on Fox Business after the Weinstein scandal came to light, Coulter also criticized Hillary Clinton for comparing compared President Donald Trump to Weinstein in an interview with Britain’s "The Andrew Marr Show."

"This kind of behavior cannot be tolerated anywhere, whether it's in entertainment, politics," Clinton said. "After all, we have someone admitting to being a sexual assaulter in the Oval Office," Clinton had said.

Coulter said Clinton was not the only person making this comparison.

"They are all saying that — every single liberal. Tina Brown, who was Weinstein’s enabler for years, her big article was basically an attack on Trump. This is every liberal when he or she hears about a liberal sexual assault or instantly thinks of a right-wing sexual assault that they are alleging," Coulter said, adding there was no evidence of Trump assaulting anyone.

"I hate to get waylaid since you ought to be talking about the liberal sexual assaults, and its massive army of enablers and pimps and madams, and that’s basically what the media and Hollywood was for Harvey Weinstein," she said.
