Respawn Entertainment has announced some new details about the “Apex Legends” battle pass and its systems. A new event will also be pushed out with these changes to prepare for the upcoming second season of the game. Here’s what we know about new changes coming to “Apex Legends.”

According to the official “Apex Legends” Reddit, a new event called “The Legendary Hunt” will kick off before the next season. The event will introduce the Apex Elite Queue, which can be accessed if you hit top 5 in your recent match.

This queue will match players up with other top 5 players and groups. If all those top 5 placers fought their way to their spot, every player can expect an intense match in this specific queue mode.

The new event will also have timed challenges which would reward players with Rare, Epic, and Legendary skins. Some Legendary Hunt skins are also available on the Store.

Lastly, experience boosts for player and battle pass levels have also been confirmed for this event. Player experience points would be doubled around June 7 at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST) until June 10 at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST). Finishing within the top 5 spots also gives players battle pass boosts. Players who want to catch up on earning all the Season 1 battle pass rewards can take the opportunity and get all of them.

Speaking of battle pass rewards, two new early rewards have also been added, namely Legendary R-301 Carbine and Wraith skins.

More Season 2 battle pass details will be announced at the upcoming EA Play livestream on June 8 at 10 a.m. EST. However, the company has revealed few details about their upcoming reveal.

In Season 2, Respawn Entertainment confirmed that players would have less time to hit level 100 in the battle pass. More Legendary skins would also be rewarded earlier in the pass. Lastly, the battle pass would provide enough resources for players to craft one Legendary skin that they want.

The new Season 2 battle pass will not push any sort of playstyle on players to maximize their experience in game. In the first Season 1, the extra battle pass experience was rewarded to players who stayed longer in matches, encouraged them to stay hidden for as long as possible for the extra points.
