Excitement and curiosity are brewing to watch Apple event happening on March 25 at Steve Jobs Theater at the Cupertino, Calif headquarters of the tech giant. The live streaming can be watched from the events page on Apple’s website.

Apple will be launching subscription TV and video service at the event tag-lined as “It's Show Time” asserting the primacy of video.

Blended with original shows that are in-house content plus a matrix of content by top-class external providers, the streaming service will go global and take on players such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. But more players are expected to join the crowd in the coming months making the market highly competitive.

Apple's streaming service will be distributed via the Apple app store that is currently available in more than 100 countries.

So, for watching the event, starting at 10 am PT (Pacific Time) the following times in various locations may be noted.

· US Eastern Time (ET): 1 pm, Monday, March 25

· Greenwich Mean Time (GMT): 5 pm, Monday, March 25

· Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT): 4 am, Tuesday, March 26

Apple event’s live stream “It’s Show Time” can be watched on the company’s dedicated events page.

Users can follow this link and click ‘play’ to begin live-streaming from the user’s browser.

To watch the live stream, Apple products users may use Safari browser to navigate to the page on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod running iOS 10 or later versions.

Safari is also fine on Mac running on macOS Sierra 10.12 or later versions.

How Windows users can watch?

For Windows 10 users, watching the live stream will require Microsoft Edge. For watching streaming on Apple TV, be sure it is a second generation Apple TV and backed by tvOS or the latest Apple TV software.

Users in other platforms can also watch the event’s streaming by tapping the latest versions of Chrome or Firefox such as H.264, AAC, and MSE.

What is significant is that the Apple event has no hardware focus, noted Ben Bajarin, an analyst with Creative Strategies.

That is a strategic shift by Apple which expressed the change in early 2019 by making its Apple Music services available for smart speakers of rivals including Amazon. It also partnered with Samsung Electronics to let Samsung TV owners watch video purchased from Apple stores on Samsung sets.

In the streaming service, Apple is also bringing on board bigger brands like Showtime, HBO, and Starz to join its streaming service.

Many celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Garner, and directors including Stephen Spielberg are cooperating with Apple. Many of them will be attending the event.

But, Apple's Senior Vice President Eddy Cue has made clear that the company is not interested in licensing sports content right now.
