Ashton Kutcher admitted he was far from thrilled by his ex-wife Demi Moore's decision to share details of their turbulent marriage in her 2019 memoir, "Inside Out."

The 44-year-old actor revealed in a new interview with Esquire that he was "pissed" when the book hit shelves at the time and reignited a media frenzy over his personal life.

"I was f--king pissed," Kutcher said in the interview published Tuesday of how the bombshell memoir affected his family with wife Mila Kunis. "I'd finally gotten to a place where the press had really laid off me and Mila, and my life and my family. And then the next day, [the paparazzi] are at my kids' school."

After briefly touching on the book, Kutcher said, "I don't want to open anything up in that realm."

Kutcher was married to Moore, 60, from 2005 to 2013. In her book, the actress claimed that she and Kutcher had threesomes during their time together and accused him of influencing her relapse. He did not comment on the allegations at the time.

In his interview with Esquire, Kutcher also reflected on being a stepfather to Moore's three children with ex-husband Bruce Willis — Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 28.

"I was 26, bearing the responsibility of an 8-year-old, a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old. That's how some teen parents must experience their 20s," he told the magazine, noting that he still maintains a relationship with his former stepkids.

Kutcher also reflected on Moore's devastating miscarriage during their marriage, which occurred six months into her pregnancy.

"Losing a kid that you think you're going to have, and that close to thinking you're going to have a kid, is really, really painful," he said. "Everyone deals with that in different ways."

The "Killers" star said that he "loves kids" and that the idea of having another child would have been "incredible." But he said that he wouldn't change what happened.

"For whatever reason, I had to have that experience," he said.

Moore and Kutcher separated in 2011 and finalized their divorce two years later. Revisiting his failed marriage, the "Ranch" alum said, "Nothing makes you feel like a failure like divorce."

Kutcher married Kunis on July 4, 2015. They have since welcomed Wyatt Isabelle, 8, and son Dimitri Portwood, 6.
