  • A recent listing reveals that "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" is coming in Oct. 2020

Ubisoft already released the first teaser image and trailer of the much-awaited upcoming title “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.” The gaming studio also revealed some details about the game but failed to share its release window. A new report claims that the highly anticipated action-adventure title might release on Oct. 16, 2020.

On Reddit, a user named Requu shared a few hours ago a retailer listing of “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.” It lists that the upcoming instalment to the successful “Assassin’s Creed” series will arrive on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020. The listing was made by a Scandinavian retailer that later changed the release window to ‘coming 2020.’ The post on Reddit does not come with any proof, but some moderators are able to provide screenshots to support the Reddit user’s claim.

Wccftech also supports the post and claims that it was able to talk to the Reddit user for extra info. The site confirms the veracity of the post as well as the release date of “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla,” which is on Oct. 16, 2020. Retailers usually use specific dates as placeholders, especially when game developers have not yet revealed the release date of the title.

The Oct. 2020 release window of “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” aligns with the release pattern of Ubisoft. The French game developer released “Assassin’s Creed” titles in October. “Black Flag” was released on Oct. 29, 2013, before it was launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the same year. All major “Assassin’s Creed” titles, except “Unity,” were released in October.

At this point, the release date that the Reddit user revealed is not yet official, and Ubisoft could still change it. It is safe to take this information with a good measure of salt and with skepticism until the game developer officially reveals the release date of the upcoming title. The gaming studio earlier announced that “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” will arrive sometime in the holiday of 2020.

It will be available on the PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC and Google Stadia. Ubisoft already rolled out the teaser trailer of “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla,” which is available below.
