Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert may be preparing to welcome their third baby together, but that doesn't mean the pair have become experts when it comes to gender reveal parties.

The "Bachelor In Paradise" alums planned for "a volcano eruption of color" as their way of finding out the sex of their newest baby, but Jade explained that what they got was far from that.

"Our reveal for the sex of the baby was a total Pinterest fail!" the expecting mom joked to E! News. "We were hoping for a volcano eruption of color, and it came out like a flat blue pancake!"

Thankfully though, the couple's photographer had a powder cannon ready to go, which would serve as the gender reveal redo.

"It wasn't perfect, but we laughed and the photos came out so beautiful regardless," Jade explained. "Definitely memories we will have forever."

If the blue wasn't enough of an indication, here it is for the record, Jade and Tanner are having a boy! The baby boy will join their crew which already includes their daughter Emerson Avery (Emmy), who will turn 3-years-old on Aug. 17 and son Brooks Easton, who will turn 1 on July 29.

"I'm so grateful, and I'm so happy we decided to find out before the baby is born. It gives me something to look forward to and I feel even more bonded to him now," Jade gushed.

"It's pretty awesome we are having two boys so close in age. I'm excited to see them grow up and be so close and hopefully be a little competitive with each other," the 33-year-old dad added. "It'll be fun to see the differences in personalities. Plus, this way Emmy is still our only girl and that feels special to us."

In addition to sharing the reveal, Jade is taking her 1.3 million Instagram followers along on her pregnancy journey as she regularly shares updates featuring her growing baby bump.

"21 weeks tomorrow! Starting to see baby’s little wiggles and flips now on the outside of my stomach," she shared in a post on July 11. "Feeling all sorts of symptoms (my heartburn is wicked and my lady bits hurt!), but always amazed and thankful for this little world I get to share just between the two of us."
