  • The clip showed the actress doing intense workout for the action scenes
  • Fans expressed their disappointment after seeing her hard work for the film

"Batgirl" lead actress Leslie Grace shared behind-the-scenes footage of the scrapped film, and fans couldn't help but feel bad for all her hard work for the project.

The 27-year-old took to TikTok Sunday to upload a video montage showing her intense training and preparations for her role as the titular superheroine.

The clip started with Grace donning her Batgirl costume while drinking coffee and waiting for her cue to start filming. Another scene showed her pushing someone before running away from a blazing warehouse.

The Latin Grammy Award-nominated artist also included bits of her workout and skill-training for the movie. She even inserted snaps of her different makeup effects for different action-packed scenes.

Grace used her self-composed song, "Batgirls get lonely too," for the background music of her TikTok update. She revealed in the caption that she wrote it during the pandemic.

Fans quickly reacted to her post, and many of them expressed their disappointment and sadness knowing that all of the actress' hard work would not pay off because the film got canned.

"I wanted this movie so bad. [Warner Bros Pictures], you messed up this one big time. So disappointed," one wrote.

"You and the cast and crew deserved so much better," another commented.

"I'm so sorry, Leslie. You put so much hard work into that role. I can tell," a third user added.

The singer-actress' post came just days after "Batgirl" cast member Ivory Aquino wrote a lengthy emotional message to Warner Bros. Studios, asking them to reconsider their decision about the film, which was nearly finished when it was axed at its final stages of production in August.

"As one of many who poured our hearts into the making of this movie, I ask that this measure be reconsidered," Aquino sounded on Twitter after hearing the news that the company would be locking away footage of the canceled film in a vault.

Last month, the scrapped project also made headlines after the directors, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, revealed in an interview that they got blocked from accessing the film before its cancellation was announced.

Industry sources previously told New York Post that the studio opted to cancel the movie after receiving poor remarks for the limited test screenings for audiences ahead of its release. Meanwhile, other reports claimed the film was scrapped after a change in leadership at the production company because new CEO David Zaslav was eager to prioritize cost-cutting measures by canning streaming-only projects.
