Ruby Rose quit “Batwoman,” but it seems as though she’s wishing the best to her former co-workers on the CW drama. She posted another message addressing her departure on Wednesday night.

“Thank you everyone for coming on this journey,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to the cast, crew, producers and studio. It wasn’t an easy decision but those who know, know.”

The post doesn’t acknowledge TVLine’s report that Rose and the network agreed to part ways because she was unhappy with the long hours and living in Vancouver. Nor does it address speculation that chronic pain from her spinal injury—which happened during a stunt on “Batwoman”—may have played a part in her exit.

Instead, Rose kept it positive and acknowledged that “Batwoman” is a huge deal for LGBTQ representation and said that, despite being recast, Season 2 will be “amazing.”

“I didn’t want to not acknowledge everyone involved and how big this was for TV and for our community,” she added. “I have stayed silent because that’s my choice for now but know I adore you all. I’m sure next season will be amazing also.”

The comments were posted alongside a fan-made video, created by Instagram user mysmarvel. Rose commented to the editor that she “better PROMISE to make them even without me. The cast are too big of fans.”

Rose’s Kate Kane will be recast in “Batwoman” Season 2, which is expected to air next year. The network is looking for another LGBTQ actress to play the Scarlet Knight, who is an out lesbian.

The “Batwoman” writers happen to be in a convenient position with their storyline. Kate’s sister and enemy Alice (Rachel Skarsten) can give people new faces. It’s how she made Hush into Bruce Wayne in the Season 1 finale. Of course, IBT has other theories as to how they might explain Kate’s replacement.

“Batwoman” Season 2 is expected to air on The CW in 2021.
