Gabrielle Union has a lot to look forward to. Not only is her series “Being Mary Jane” currently airing its fourth season, but Tuesday marks the birthday of her husband Dwyane Wade. The actress couldn’t let the day go by without wishing the Miami Heat basketball player a happy birthday online.

“Happy Birthday @DwyaneWade. Best is yet to come! #35 #chocolatelover #whenbffisbae,” Union wrote on Instagram along with several heart emojis.

The couple began dating in 2009 and briefly split in the beginning of 2013. Although Wade had a child during the split, the couple reconciled by the end of that same year. The stars have been married since 2014 and frequently post loving pictures of one another across social media.

Prior to wishing her husband happy birthday, the star teased fans about the latest episode of her BET hit series “Being Mary Jane.” The actress responded to a tweet from cast member Michael Ealy, who is expected to stir up some trouble this season as the man who got Mary Jane fired from her previous job.

Ealy, who plays Justin Talbot, is the producer of the fictional “Great Day USA” and will be everything but pleasant when it comes to interacting with Mary Jane. “Do I look like the kinda guy to wreak havoc in one’s life? Ask @gabunion Find out tonight at 9pm,” the actor tweeted Tuesday morning.

On Instagram, the actor tweeted the same caption but attached it to a promo photo of the show in which he is glaring at Union’s character.

Prior to taking on the role of Justin, Ealy admitted that he had doubts about being a part of the series, according to Deadline. “I had turned down several network offers, as I really was not interested in doing another show at the time, but because Gabrielle is a friend, I told her that I’d seriously think about and talk with my team,” he explained.

Despite his hesitation, Ealy eventually decided to do his friend a favor. “At the end of the day, I felt like we all have a social responsibility to help elevate material with people of color in any way that we can, and if there was an opportunity for me to help my friend and the cultural perceptions of our work, then I would do my part,” he stated.

“Being Mary Jane” Season 4 airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on BET.
