Ben Higgins got candid about his close encounter with his ex-fiancée's husband.

Lauren Bushnell's ex-fiancé and current husband competed in the same charity golf tournament. The "Bachelor" alum spoke about their close run-in on Monday's episode of "The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever" with Chris Harrison.

"We arrived [in Orlando] last Tuesday for this event," Harrison, 51, shared, Us Weekly reported. "Before I get on the plane, I get a text message from Ben Higgins in the locker room. ... It says Chris Harrison on the locker. It says Ben Higgins on the locker. Next to Ben Higgins is Chris Lane, country music star."

Higgins said he hadn't seen his former fiancée, Bushnell, since they broke up. He confessed he thought the encounter with Bushnell's husband, Lane, in such close quarters would feel "odd." However, he wasn't worried about it.

"No matter what, we're all adults. So I wasn't worried about the outcome or how we'd handle it," the "Bachelor" alum said. "I don't know if anybody out there — and maybe I'm wrong — is, like, super jacked to see somebody who they've split ways with in their life."

Bushnell didn't join her husband for the tournament, but her dad was there to support Lane. Harrison, Higgins and Wells Adams bumped into the "Broken Windshield View" crooner at the bar on their first night in Florida.

"Right away, I saw him. He didn't see me, he had his head turned," Higgins recalled. "I walked up, and I said, 'Hey Chris, good to see you.'... I will tell you, it has been nothing but great. It's been nice to talk to him."

Higgins added that he was also able to catch up with Bushnell's father, who also greeted him, which "felt really good," according to the ABC personality. He continued to gush over Lane, saying, "it's been fun" bonding with the singer, and he was glad they did.

"If Lauren comes down tomorrow — and I don't know if she is or not — and I run into her, it would be good to see her," Higgins added.

Higgins and Bushnell got engaged in the 20th season of "The Bachelor" Season 20 in 2016. A year later, they called it quits.

"Apparently, I did not see that coming. I love them both. They are really two of my favorite people we've ever had on the show, and Ben is a really good friend," Harrison said at the time, reacting to their separation.

Bushnell married Lane in 2019. They have since welcomed two sons Dutton, 1, and 3-month-old Baker. Higgins moved on and tied the knot with Jessica Clarke in November 2021.
