The first episode of 2021 introduces a new arc as Clover Kingdom battles against the Spade Kingdom. Returning after a break, "Black Clover" Episode 158 will kick-start the Clover Kingdom vs. Spade Kingdom arc. The upcoming episode is titled "The Beginning of Hope and Despair."

The anime series is getting new opening and ending themes to celebrate the upcoming arc. The opening theme, titled "Grandeur," by Snow Man and the ending theme, named "Beautiful," by Treasure will premiere in "Black Clover" Episode 158.

Yui Ogura as Vanica Zogratis, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Zenon Zogratis and Rikiya Koyama as Dante Zogratis join the existing cast members.
