He finally has the evidence he needs that proves Thomas was involved with Emma’s death, but when he presents it to his girlfriend, Xander will be stunned as she continues to defend the other man’s actions on the Tuesday July 9 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Xander (Adain Bradley) has suspected Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) was responsible for Emma’s (Nia Sioux) death on the CBS soap since news she had died in a car accident got out, since the timing had been coincidental to her trying to hell Hope (Annika Noelle) the truth about Beth being alive. Thomas has been desperate to keep the secret buried after realizing it gave him the leverage he needed to secure a future with Hope, and Xander was convinced he had done the unthinkable and made sure Emma was eliminated before she revealed the truth.

Now, after gathering proof Thomas followed the former intern out of Forrester’s parking lot that night from the security footage and also downloading travel history from Thomas’ GPS which proved he was at the same spot where Emma’s car went off the road, Xander has the confirmation he has been seeking to prove that Thomas is actually a murderer. However, as he goes to Zoe (Kiara Barnes) with his proof, he will be left dumbfounded over her reaction.

“Xander is shocked when Zoe defends Thomas,” spoilers reveal.

While Zoe may not fully defend Thomas in the sense that she feels he was justified doing what he did, she will likely defend why he did it, since she has been the one from the beginning who has been eager to keep the truth about Beth from being revealed. Considering that she fears the truth getting out would mean jail time for both her and her father, as well as everyone else who now knows the truth, she has refused to come forward and encouraged the others to all do the same. She likely felt relief that Emma was unable to destroy everything by revealing the truth, which will be why she defends Thomas doing whatever he felt was necessary at the time.

Still, Xander may not be willing to stay quiet, and if he then learns that Thomas and Hope are now engaged, he could decide to do something drastic with his new information—and may wind up going to the man at the center of the scandal himself.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
