A couple who had flown to South Carolina for a vacation made it to the news following a squabble. A brawl ensued between the two at Charleston International Airport on Wednesday and needed intervention from the police amid the woman's strong reaction to discovering her husband's alleged philandering ways.

Paula Barbour, 55, was charged with one count of third-degree domestic violence, according to Charleston County online booking records. Barbour had allegedly assaulted her husband at the airport following an argument after finding several "indecent photos" in his phone, authorities reportedly said.

The Charleston Aviation Authority responded to guest services for "an active domestic" incident at 2:50 p.m. E.T. and broke up the fight between two individuals. Both the suspect and the victim were interrogated shortly after, WCSC reported.

"The suspect stated that she just wanted to get away from the victim and fly back home," the incident report reads. The fight between the couple was captured by surveillance cameras. Barbour was seen kicking the victim in the leg, twice, throwing his cell phone on the ground, and aiming to strike his face.

Barbour admitted to attacking her husband, the incident report states. The husband, however, denied being kicked by Barbour in an interrogation with investigators.

The woman was reportedly booked in the Al Cannon Detention Center at 6:15 p.m. and released Thursday afternoon after posting bail of $5,237. She was scheduled in court on Feb. 15, 2023. Third-degree domestic violence is a misdemeanor that carries a penalty of up to 90 days if convicted, and a fine of $1,000-$2,500.

In a similar incident from 2017, a woman started beating her husband on a Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Bali, refusing to stop, after she discovered his alleged infidelity. The woman used her sleeping husband's thumbprint to unlock his phone. The couple was accompanied by their child and all three were deplaned after the flight made an emergency landing at the nearest airport. They were held in a detention center until another flight could be arranged.
