BTS' Jungkook released a cover of Harry Styles' 2019 song "Falling" on YouTube Thursday midnight, much to the surprise of the Korean group's devoted fans collectively known as ARMY.

The 24-year-old singer kept his "passionate and piano-driven rendition" true to form by singing with "a beautiful tenor and clarity," much like Styles did in the original version, according to Billboard.

ARMYs took to Twitter to celebrate the BTS member's passionate cover. "Jungkook" then became a trending topic on the platform Thursday with more than 1.24 million tweets.

"Anyways falling is now the highest trending music 'video' despite being a cover released only few hours ago!! Congratulations Jungkook," a fan account tweeted.

Meanwhile, a fan invited ARMYs to keep watching the video until it hits 10 million views and and 2.5 million likes.

"Jungkook gave us a beautiful gift today, and while we listen to it over and over again, let’s try to also achieve some 24hs goals! Goals: 10M views, 2.5M likes," the said fan noted.

Bangtan TV, BTS' official YouTube channel shared Jungkook's latest cover, which has been viewed more than five million times as of writing.

In Jungkook's video, one can hear the singer capturing the emotions of the song ever so perfectly as he hits the high notes with ease, particularly in its bridge that goes, "I'm falling again, I'm falling again, I'm falling / And I get the feeling that you'll never need me again."

He transitions smoothly toward the end of the track making sure the emotions are perfectly encapsulated as he sings, "What if I'm someone you won't talk about? / I'm falling again, I'm falling again, I'm falling."

"Falling" is included in Styles' 2019 studio album "Fine Line," which talks about the pain of reminiscing about a failed relationship and the uncertainties that come with it. Upon its release, the ballad clinched the No. 62 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 while the album itself snatched the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The track also received a double-platinum certification from The Recording Industry Association of America in September for selling two million digital units in total since its release.

Jungkook is no stranger to making well-applauded covers. In the past, he already recorded his own versions of various songs, including Adam Levine's "Lost Stars," Justin Bieber's "Nothing Like Us" and "Purpose," David Guetta's "2U," Charlie Puth's "We Don't Talk Anymore," IU's Ending Scene" and Lauv's "Never Not." He posted them on YouTube and music-sharing platform Soundcloud.
