Big Hit Music announces details about BTS' upcoming free online concert streaming event titled "Bang Bang Con 21" on its official Twitter handle.

According to BTS’ managing agency, Big Hit Music, the upcoming concert event will be streamed for free on the band’s official YouTube channel named Bangtan TV. It is scheduled to take place Saturday, April 17, at 2:00 a.m. ET (3:00 p.m. KST).

BTS officially made the announcement Monday, surprising fans from all around the world. The band's agency unveiled a colorful teaser image for the concert on Twitter with the caption that translated to "Knock knock knock, is this ARMY’s Room?"

The tweet also included hashtags like #BangBangCon21, #ItsBeen1YearAlready, #LikeAprilLastYear, #BTS_Concert_At_Home, #BANGBANGCON21, and #BTS.

On Monday, Big Hit took to Twitter to reveal more information about the line-up for the concert. The show will include clips of past concerts and fan events.

The details revealed about the schedule are as follows:

  • 2:00 a.m. EDT (3:00 p.m. KST) - BTS Live Trilogy: Episode 1. BTS Begins (Memories of 2015). It took place in Seoul, South Korea
  • 4:40 a.m EDT (5:40 p.m. KST) - BTS 5th Muster [Magic Shop] which was held in Busan, South Korea, in June 2019
  • 6:40 a.m. EDT (7:40 p.m. KST) - BTS World Tour 'Love Yourself: Speak Yourself held in São Paulo, Brazil, in May 2019

    BTS has held several online streaming events for their fans amid the ongoing pandemic under the brand "Bang Bang Con." The upcoming concert is one of BTS' latest series of streaming events for fans amid the ongoing pandemic.

    Previously, BTS hosted the first edition of Bang bang con in April 2020, exactly a year ago. The event lasted for two days and drew more than 50 million views in 24 hours.

    During the two-day event, the band streamed footage from eight of their past concerts on YouTube to relive past memories and so that fans who couldn’t attend the concert could watch them online from the comfort of their homes.

    Two months later, in June 2020, the band members returned with a paid virtual online concert titled "Bang Bang Con: The Live" to celebrate their 7th anniversary. The concert was a massive success and had attracted around 756,600 viewers from 107 countries.
