The first supposed image from the fifth season of "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" is courtesy of data miners The Cheeseburger Boys who shared the information on their Discord channel. The image revealed the upcoming season would feature a Japanese theme,  a new Operator and the return of the Tec-9 Pistol.

Moreover, a new region called Weather Station could debut in Season 5. Weather Station is reportedly a new region for the game's Outbreak mode that would feature the Summit map. They also said a standalone version of Summit for 6v6 matches could arrive in the hit game. However, the insider remains unsure if these would be added in the game's Season 5 or Season 6.

Meanwhile, industry insider TheMW2Ghost said three maps could launch in "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" Season 5.

"There are still about 12 maps designed for Cold War yet to come. Say 3 each for S5 and S5, then a bunch post season," the insider wrote on Twitter. "That's a nice amount of maps. Pretty sure there may be a remake post-launch too."

Based on the information from the insider, Activision has not yet released any of the 12 maps designed for the game. While they believe at least three maps could debut in the upcoming season, the tipster also mentioned the upcoming maps could include a remake.

Unfortunately, Activision has not yet said anything about what it plans to roll out in the game's fifth season. Therefore, fans should temper their expectations.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" Season 4 is set to end on Aug. 9. It means Season 5 is just a few days away and could start as early as Aug. 12.
