Camilla Parker Bowles recently showed off her skills in art when she visited Brixton Primary School in London on Thursday.

The Duchess of Cornwall helped paint a mural while at the local community. The mural is located in St. John’s Angell Primary School, and it features a fairytale-inspired painting of a street lamp and outlines of two characters.

Other than helping to paint a mural, Camilla was also on hand to do other things during her recent engagement. The royal arrived at the school in the morning to meet residents and help open the school’s library. While there, she had the opportunity to talk to the students who were gathered around to show her their favorite books on display.

Camilla was also welcomed into the premises by the members of St. John’s Angell Town Church. One of the women gifted Prince Charles’ wife with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. The Duchess of Cornwall, who donned a polka dot dress and navy-blue coat, was also on hand to watch a performance by the young school children.

After the engagement, Camilla was escorted by a small group of students, teachers, and staff outside of the school’s building.

Camilla went to her engagement by herself because her husband also had his own royal duty on Thursday. Prince Charles recognized the achievements of over 80 people at an investiture held at the Buckingham Palace.

Prince Charles and Camilla will soon reunite for a joint engagement when they visit Cuba. The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall are the first two members of the royal family to visit the country since Cuba came under communist rule.

Even though Clarence House has not yet officially confirmed the engagement, Baroness Hale, the president of the Supreme Court, claimed that Camilla told her about her upcoming trip.

“They are going to visit the Caribbean. They are not only going to the Anglo Caribbean, but they are also going to Cuba as well,” Lady Hale told Daily Mail.
