Camilla Parker Bowles’ affair with Prince Charles decades ago still has an impact on how the public perceives her today. Some of them believe that she’s not suited to be the next Queen or Queen Consort and others have described her negatively.

On the online forum site Quora, one royal fan asked others if they think that Camilla is a nice person and their answers are quite harsh. For instance, one person said that she doesn’t think that the Duchess of Cornwall is evil, but she’s also very shallow, and vain.

Prince Charles’ wife isn’t also the romantic heroine who waited quietly on the sidelines until the heir to the throne’s first marriage fell apart. Rather, she contributed a lot in destroying the former royal couple’s marriage.

“She also was not a very good mum; the scandals that she and Charles created caused her son so much bullying in school and so much trauma that he masked his pain through alcohol and eventually needed rehab,” Cory Raisa said.

“While Camilla’s own husband was away in London, instead of being a mother to her kids and perhaps taking a page from Diana’s book and filling her time with outreach and charity work, Camilla instead wasted lots of time at Highgrove on her horse “accidentally bumping” into Charles and flirting when she knew he was there horseback riding…and he, being equally immature, flirted right back,” she added.

Vinatha Madhavan said that it is unlikely that Camilla will ever be branded as a good person because she was an interloper in Prince Charles’ marriage to Princess Diana. Even though she was much older than the Princess of Wales at that time, she exploited and hurt the late royal.

“As a more mature woman compared to poor, innocent Diana, she should have waited until Charles divorced Diana. Instead these two unethical, immoral freeloaders flaunted their affair in Diana's face and the public,” she said.
