Under the warm sunshine, starlets hit the red carpet to celebrate day two of the 65th Cannes Film Festival in the French Riviera with the screening of the film De rouille et d'os and Madagascar 3. Jane Fonda, Freida Pinto and Eva Longoria pulled out all the sexy stops.

Jane Fonda has been one of the biggest hits at Cannes this year thus far. On Thursday, she opted for a black and white Rust and Bone illusion gown with emerald drop earrings. The 74-year-old has not only chosen gorgeous ensembles for her red carpet appearances, but she also looks 20 years younger! At 74-years-old, Fonda has truly defied age.

In 2009, Fonda revealed some of her beauty secrets.

I owe 30 percent to genes, 30 percent to good sex, 30 percent because of sports and healthy lifestyle with proper nutrition, she revealed that year. And for the remaining 10 per cent, I have to thank my plastic surgeon.

Exercise is very important to her. In 2010, Jane Fonda released two videos, Prime Time Walkout and Jane Fonda: Prime Time Fit & Strong, tailored for older individuals looking to maintain their physique.

I'm very excited to be back in the fitness business, she told People. I know from experience and from my research how critical it is for seniors to be physically active. Even if they've never exercised in their lives, now's the time and my programs are a good, safe way to do it.

Of course, like any woman, Jane Fonda has had to deal with her share of body issues.

I was raised in the '50s, she told Harper's Bazaar last August. I was taught by my father that how I looked was all that mattered, frankly. He was a good man, and I was mad for him, but he sent messages to me that fathers should not send: Unless you look perfect, you're not going to be loved.

For decades, she even battled bulimia.

I wasn't very happy from, I would say, puberty to 50? It took me a long time, she told Bazaar. It was in my 40s, and if you suffer from bulimia, the older you get, the worse it gets. It takes longer to recover from a bout. I had a career, I was winning awards, I was supporting nonprofits, I had a family. I had to make a choice: I live or I die.

Jane Fonda joined Indian actress Freida Pinto on the red carpet, and playfully hugged the beautiful 27-year-old who donned a sparkling lime green chartreuse Atelier Versace gown. Eva Longoria, who is at Cannes as a spokesmodel for L'Oreal Paris, chose a white Emilio Pucci for day two at Cannes.
