It seems Carrie Underwood is a Post Malone fan. The 36-year-old country singer not only attended his show at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday but also had the opportunity to meet a special person in the “Circles” rapper’s life: his mom.

As noted by Billboard, Underwood seemed pleased with the exchange as she posted a photo to Instagram of her backstage meetup with Malone and thanked him for the introduction.

“Thanks @postmalone for the hospitality tonight...and for putting on a great show...and for introducing me to your mom,” she wrote to her 9.4 million followers.

Underwood has come a long way since once forgetting the lyrics to Malone’s song during karaoke with Jimmy Fallon in 2018, Hollywood Life reported. While singing a duet with Fallon to “Psycho” she said into the microphone, “I’m sorry, Post Malone, I’m sorry” after forgetting his lyrics.

Malone is now in the process of his Runaway Tour for his third album, “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” which was released September 2019. While Malone continues pursuing his music career, Underwood is in the midst of her book tour, which kicked off on Monday.

Her debut book, “Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul And Get Strong With The Fit52 Life,” is focused on health and wellness and follows Underwood’s own journey to body acceptance and learning how to balance being healthy but not overexerting your body, Pop Culture reports.

“I would ‘fall off the wagon,’ then feel terrible and repeat the cycle,” Underwood said to Women’s Health.

It is worth noting that Malone and Underwood’s newfound friendship has some fans asking in the comments section of her post if the two singers will one day record a duet. Only time will tell.
