Cheryl recently opened up about her awkward encounter with Prince Charles that made the future King laugh.

The 35-year-old singer has met the Duke of Cornwall multiple times through his philanthropic work. But in 2012, the duo met for tea at Clarence House. They were discussing the launch of the singer’s charity, the Cheryl’s Trust, an aide of the Prince’s Trust.

“I totally forgot to address him officially, just called him Charles. Someone started coughing loudly behind me, which he just found very funny,” she said (via The Sun).

During their conversation, Prince Charles also told Cheryl that Prince Harry loves hip-hop so much that he could track banging through the ceiling at home. Prince Charles also commented on the singer’s elaborate collection of tattoos.

Cheryl recalled her fond memories of the Prince of Wales ahead of his 70th birthday. Prince Charles will turn 70 on Nov 14 and several other people close to his heart have also paid tribute to him.

In BBC’s documentary “Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70,” Camilla Parker Bowles talked about her husband and said that he is the best grandfather and father to his kids.

“He will get down on his knees and crawl about with them for hours, you know making funny noises and laughing and my grandchildren adore him, absolutely adore him. He reads Harry Potter and he can do all the different voices and I think children really appreciate that” she said.

Bowles also said that Prince Charles doesn’t think about become the next King so much.

“No, I don’t. I think his destiny will come, he’s always known it’s going to come and I don’t think it does weigh on his shoulders at all. It’s just something that’s going to happen,” she said (via Daily Mail).

The Duchess of Cornwall also said that she knows Prince Charles’ duty will be to the monarchy first and the people when he becomes King.
