Singer Ciara has a piece of golden advice for her daughter, Sienna when she grows up: “Never give up.”

The 36-year-old shared the nugget of wisdom in an exclusive interview with ET on the red carpet of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue launch party at the Hard Rock Hotel Times Square in New York City on Thursday.

"You know, the craziest thing is, I started my career 18 years ago... and I think about that journey since my 'Goodies' album, I think about all the things I aspired to achieve and this is one of those moments," she shared. "And 18 years later. Right? So, my point is you can't stop believing."

She continued, "It's like the moment you want to give up is when you have to take that extra step, push forward and believe even harder because dreams really do come true. Things really do happen when you don't stop believing."

The songstress said her cover issue was a cherished dream which took nearly two decades before it happened. Ciara said her appearance on the cover of the magazine was inspired by Sienna.

"I always think about my daughter, you know?" Ciara told ET. "I always think that when she gets to see me in moments like this, she can see herself and have something to look forward to or believe in, and to have hope in."

At the party, the R&B singer was joined by her husband, NFL star Russell Wilson who gamely posed with his wife for photos.

"I feel blessed you know he's always there cheering me on and he makes me feel that much more confident in myself," Ciara said about Wilson. "You know, I'm a confident lady, I must say, but it feels good to be loved like that. It inspires me, and he's the best."

Wilson earlier shared how proud he is of Ciara for appearing on the cover of the 2022 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit which will be available in stores on May 19.

"As you can probably tell, I'm incredibly proud of my wife. And now that she's on the cover of SI Swimsuit, that's one more thing for me to take pride in," he told People. "I know it's something she's always wanted. And I know she'll use the visibility that comes with being on the cover to inspire even more people—not only as a mother and the beautiful angel and the powerful woman that she is."
