NBC's 'Community' has not been cancelled, the network says--just pulled from the mid-season lineup.

Fans were confused and angry when NBC announced their mid-season lineup without the sitcom, starring 'The Soup host Joel McHale. According to the New York Times, though, NBC has promised that the show is just on a break, and will eventually return--just not in early January with the rest of the network's shows. The Times notes that '30 Rock,' which has been off the air due to Tina Fey's pregnancy, will take Community's timeslot.

According to the website Ology, New York Times television reporter Brian Stelter has reported their is a slim chance the show will return for a fourth season.

'Community' premiered in Fall of 2009, and tells the story of a group of zany community college students. It has frequently struggled for ratings but has a group of rabidly devoted fans.
