A recent data mining activity revealed a disappointing detail about the much-awaited title “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.” It looks like fans would have to spend on the game if they want for its next-generation update. The leaked information surfaced ahead of Activision’s official reveal of the game on August 26.

Dataminers recently dug the files of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” and uncovered that there would be three different “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” versions. Aside from the standard edition, the files list the Ultimate edition and the Cross-Gen Bundle. All three versions come with beta access and offer players a Frand Woods Bundle for both “Call of Duty: Warzone” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.”

There is no description included in the game files. However, gaming enthusiasts believe that the Cross-Gen Bundle suggests that players who purchased the game before the arrival of the next-generation gaming consoles would be stuck on the old version. They can still play the next-generation version of the game if they are willing to shell out some cash for the upgrade.
