He once again became the main suspect in the cabin fire that nearly killed Ciara, and he knows it is just a matter of time before the new police commissioner finds a way to successfully frame him for the crime. In a desperate attempt to once again try and figure out who really set the blaze, Ben will once again seek Marlena’s assistance and ask to be hypnotized on the Thursday, May 30 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) was previously hypnotized to see if he could remember anything about the fire since he wasn’t sure at the time if he had or had not set it. Afterwards, on the NBC soap, he was sure he didn’t commit the crime, but with no new leads surfacing in nearly a year that was concrete proof, he hasn’t been able to really and truly clear himself with the police. Now, with Eve (Kassie DePaiva) now serving as the new police commissioner in Salem and hell-bent on revenge against him for when he murdered her daughter, Paige, he knows that she will do whatever it takes to make sure he takes the fall.

As a result, he has been more determined than ever to prove his innocence, but his only lead, Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) was quickly shot down by Ciara (Victoria Konefal), who refused to believe Claire had it in her to try and kill her. Ben likely still isn’t convinced, but has nothing else he can use as proof, so he will need to do whatever he can to try and recall his memories from that night—even if it forces him to go back to a dark place inside his mind.

“Ben asks Marlena to hypnotize him again to recall the night of the fire,” spoilers reveal.

Now, with Marlena once again putting him under to see if he can recall what happened, Ben could discover a new clue that may eventually help pinpoint the real arsonist. Still, it may be a little bit before he has solid proof of what happened, giving Eve more time to build her false case against him.

What Ben doesn’t know is just how truly dangerous Eve is to him. She knows the truth, that Claire was, in fact, the one who set the blaze, and now only is she set on revenge against him, but she is fiercely protective of Claire. She has already summoned her to bring her lighter to the police station, and if Ben can’t get the evidence he needs quickly enough, he could wind up behind bars anyway for the crime.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
