They’re committed to a plan that will see them get married so she can stay in the country following a deportation order, but they have to pass their interview with immigration first. However, that could prove to be a harder challenge than Tripp and Haley realized on the Thursday, April 4 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Haley (Thia Megia) have been working on a cover story to try and convince immigration officials that their marriage is real following a proposal video they shot which was posted online by Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan). However, they have also received numerous warnings from loved ones on the NBC soap that they are taking a huge risk by doing this—but the pair have remained committed to trying to make this seem legitimate.

Now, they will head to the immigration officer to make their case and try to prove that their plans are real and born out of actual love—but there might be some issues they face as they conduct their interview.

“Tripp and Haley struggle to maintain their cover story,” spoilers reveal.

Even the smallest detail being wrong in their story could blow their entire cover, but the two may manage to get through it and be convincing enough. However, it won’t be the end of their story—because what they don’t know is that Claire is really scheming against them and has partnered with Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) to take Haley down.

While the other two are scheming to prove Haley is a drain in Salem as an illegal immigrant to help Jack’s campaign as mayor, for Claire, it’s more personal. She is Tripp’s girlfriend and has been proven to do whatever is necessary in the past in order to try and hold onto the man she loves. That included recording Tripp confessing the marriage is a fake during one of their own romantic dinners together, and while the original plan to expose them didn’t happen, there is still something else planned which could cause an even bigger stir, and destroy all of the work the two have put in to try and save Haley from deportation.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
