They were set to finally reunite and begin their lives together again after Sonny’s marriage was annulled. However, a series of medical issues on Will’s part has sense stalled their plans once again. Now, the two will try to get to the bottom of it so they can finally be together on the Tuesday, April 2 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

After confronting Leo (Greg Rikaart) and asked him to finally annul his marriage to Sonny (Freddie Smith), things took an unexpected turn for Will (Chandler Massey), whom Leo had threatened and alluded to cursing by using his “evil eye” on the NBC soap. Not long after that, Will passed out on the floor of the Kiriakis Mansion and has since been hospitalized.

Naturally, after Leo’s mother, Diana (Judith Chapman) had been outed as the person who tried to poison Marlena (Deidre Hall) by injecting her with penicillin, Will and Sonny had both wondered if Leo had somehow found a way to poison him, but results from the lab were backed up. Now, after they receive them, the two could be puzzled to learn that there may not be something in his system at all. While that will absolve Leo because he didn’t poison his enemy, it will still leave them with more questions than answers.

Now, with no science to back up what’s going on, the two will put their heads together as they try to figure out what went wrong—and whether it could happen again.

The men are still naturally wondering if perhaps Leo’ curse was accurate, though they don’t want to believe such a thing could happen, despite everything else they’ve been through that has kept them apart the last few years.

Something that could come up too, of course, is the way Will got his memories back after returning to Salem from the dead. He had stolen more of Rolf’s miracle serum and used it without approval from a doctor, and it had eventually worked in his favor, with him remembering everything about his past during John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s wedding. However, since the drug was never approved by the FDA, there could also be side effects. If there are, and they are now affecting Will, there could new drama that once again faces the pair, including the risk that Will may lose those newly regained memories once again.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
