KEY POINTS

  • The fusion rifle meta is very powerful for clearing bosses and tough combatants in raids this season
  • Focusing Lens and Particle Deconstruction can greatly boost a team's DPS
  • Players should adjust builds and loadouts according to different raids and strategies

Raids offer the toughest challenges players can ask for in “Destiny 2” and they also offer some of the game’s best loot. These six-player activities are designed to test a squad’s teamwork, cohesiveness and, of course, the collective power of their equipment.

The meta in “Season Of The Lost” heavily incentivizes the use of Stasis and Fusion Rifles, and players will be hard-pressed to find anything else that are just as effective as these combos. Regardless, even with the mods in this season’s artifact, players still have plenty of gear options to bring during raids or the smaller 3-man dungeons.

Here are some of Season 15’s best weapons, armor and synergies for clearing pinnacle PvE content in “Destiny 2.”

Focusing Lens Build

This build is less about gear and more about team compositions. The Focusing Lens artifact mod boosts Light ability damage against enemies affected by Stasis, which means that players will need to have at least one weapon or ability that can reliably freeze or slow enemies.

Revenants with Silence and Squall can easily apply Stasis against bosses and other stationary targets, priming them for Focusing Lens.

Warlocks with Well of Radiance or Titans with Bulwark of Dawn can infuse weapons with powerful buffs that transforms their damage to Light ability damage, which allows them to proc Focusing Lens. Combine these supers with a Nightstalker’s Shadowshot for even more damage on tethered targets.

This is especially good for burning bosses like Atheon and the Templar in Vault of Glass or Kell Echo in the Prophecy dungeon.

Thermoclastic Bloom Revenant

The Thermoclastic Bloom mod allows Solar and Stasis classes to generate Orbs of Power whenever they defeat enemies with melee abilities. This synergizes very well with Revenant shurikens as they can bounce between multiple enemies and potentially one-shot weak mobs.

Pair a Revenant with a Phoenix Protocol Warlock for near-permanent uptime on Well of Radiance.

Particle Deconstruction Fusion Rifles

It’s no secret that Particle Deconstruction is extremely powerful in the current meta. This mod applies a stacking debuff on enemies that increases the damage they take from fusion rifles by up to 40%. Particle Deconstruction is insanely good with the Vex Mythoclast but literally every other fusion rifle in the game can benefit from this.

Guns that can roll with Vorpal Weapon like the Cartesian Coordinate and Threaded Needle are particularly powerful in raid DPS phases. Make sure to spray an enemy with one burst from a normal fusion rifle before pelting them with linear fusion rifle shots for maximum damage and ammo efficiency.
