KEY POINTS

  • Seasonal challenges grant huge amounts of XP each
  • These challenges are best completed with a few bounties in tow
  • Players should concentrate on finishing challenges while completing bounties along the way

“Destiny 2” season pass levels give a variety of goodies that every Guardian can use, from bundles of planetary materials to rare exotic engrams and unique cosmetics that are locked into the tail end of each pass.

“Destiny 2” players will naturally progress through these ranks as they play, but for those who want to get to the end as quickly as possible, there is one fool-proof method.

The quickest way to farm XP for the season pass in “Destiny 2” is by focusing on the weekly seasonal challenges while completing daily bounties in between. Each challenge grants massive amounts of XP that are usually enough to grant one full season pass level.

While this method doesn’t exactly change per season, the challenges themselves do.

In “Season of the Lost,” Guardians are mainly tasked with finding Queen Mara’s lost Techeuns in the Shattered Realm. Naturally, many of the challenges this season revolve around the Shattered Realm and its pre-requisite activity, Astral Alignment.

The Wayfinder’s Compass at the H.E.L.M. provides daily bounties for the aforementioned activities, and they mostly involve defeating enemies with specific weapons, damage types or abilities. As such, they can be done alongside Banshee-44’s gunsmith bounties for even more XP per run, as well as a decent reward of mod components and enhancement cores.

Do the same for the other seasonal challenges involving other game modes.

As of writing, there are multiple Gambit challenges that players can progress through. Each match will count toward these challenges, and by the end, players should have completed all of them just by playing. Don’t forget to claim more bounties from Banshee and the Drifter before going in, though.

“Destiny 2” players who have Glimmer to spare can grab even more random bounties from each of the vendors in the game, allowing for even more season pass progress per activity.

Banshee offers the best XP gains since his bounties can be completed anywhere in the game. Make sure to grab other bounties related to other activities while focusing on completing seasonal challenges in order to gain the most efficient season pass progress per session.

Completing challenges from previous seasons will not grant XP for the current one, but they will give rewards like weapons, lore pages and triumphs.
