KEY POINTS

  • Bright Dust can be earned consistently from Tower Vendors
  • Certain seasonal challenges offer Bright Dust rewards
  • Weekly bounties can be done two more times a week if players have extra characters

Bright Dust is another quintessential currency in “Destiny 2” that players will almost never be able to get enough of. These shiny piles of seemingly-valuable matter are used to purchase the two most important things in the game: emotes and ornaments.

Unlike Glimmer or Enhancement Cores, Bright Dust serves no real purpose other than as a currency for purchasing cosmetics. With that said, however, this also makes Bright Dust a very valuable and highly-coveted currency for endgame “Destiny 2” players.

Though they may seem hard to get, there are a few ways to farm for Bright Dust quickly and easily. Here’s how.

Battle Pass and Seasonal Challenges

The challenges under the Season 15 tab in the game director hosts some objectives that will reward players with tons of Bright Dust. These challenges are fairly easy to do, and anyone who spends enough time in-game should be able to finish these without much issue.

Completing all Seasonal Challenges will reward players with a big pile of Bright Dust, which should be enough to top off their seasonal cosmetic needs when combined with the rest of the challenge rewards.

The Battle Pass also rewards a generous amount of Bright Dust throughout the entirety of the free and paid tracks. Premium players will receive more rewards, however, so keep that in mind.

Vendor Bounties

Outside of timed rewards, Bright Dust is normally earned via weekly bounties. Almost every NPC that offers weekly rewards will give players a small amount of Bright Dust after completing eight bounties, making them a constant and reliable source of income.

Eva Levante and The Dawning 2021

The ongoing Dawning event features two additional weekly bounties that will reward 200 Bright Dust each. These bounties typically involve completing some activities related to the event, but they will only be available once per week.

Players can purchase additional bounties that will reward 30 Bright Dust, but this may not be a reliable source since they cost Glimmer to purchase.

Keep in mind that every week, a big pile of 700 Bright Dust will be available at the Eververse store. Be sure to claim this before the weekly reset so as not to miss out on some free loot.
