KEY POINTS

  • The Eyasluna can be obtained from the new Grasp of Avarice dungeon
  • The weapon seemingly drops from the final boss encounter
  • As of this week, the dungeon can only be farmed once per character

The 30th anniversary update for “Destiny 2” added tons of content for players to experience, including a few notable weapons from Bungie’s past.

Fortunately for fans of the original “Destiny,” the old Eyasluna legendary hand cannon also came as part of the update, featuring a refined perk pool and some of the best base stats of its class.

Many players are sure to hop straight back into “Destiny 2” after catching wind of Eyasluna’s return, but getting this weapon will force players to put in some work first. Here’s how to get the Eyasluna in “Destiny 2.”

Where to get the Eyasluna

First, players will need to purchase the “Destiny 2 30th Anniversary Pack” before they can grind for the Eyasluna. This is because the weapon can only be obtained from the new Grasp of Avarice dungeon, which is exclusive to Anniversary Pack owners.

The Eyasluna will only drop from chests within the Grasp of Avarice dungeon. However, as of writing, players can only obtain rewards from each chest once per character. Community manager dmg04 confirmed that this was not intended, and the team will roll out a hotfix next week to address this issue.

Due to this unfortunate bug, continuously grinding for the Eyasluna is impossible until the hotfix is deployed. Additionally, the “Destiny 2” community isn’t quite sure about which encounter drops the Eyasluna itself, although some players claimed to have received the hand cannon from the final boss.

Is the Eyasluna good?

On paper, the Eyasluna trumps almost every other legendary hand cannon in the kinetic slot in nearly every department. The gun boasts a very high aim-assist stat with excellent Stability and Handling. However, it falls a bit short on Range, as it can only reach up to 30 meters before experiencing damage drop-off.

Eyasluna compensates for its relatively low range with the ability to roll perks like High-Caliber Rounds, Ricochet Rounds, Rangefinder and Kill Clip. It can also get Moving Target as well as the new Perpetual Motion perk, which increases the gun’s Stability, Handling and Reload Speed as long as the player is moving.
