Jada Pinkett Smith is no stranger to facing a tough topic head-on. The host of "Red Table Talk" openly discusses heavy, and sometimes taboo, topics that surround relationships on her Facebook Watch talk show, often times sharing her own personal experiences for reference.

In an upcoming episode of the series, Jada reveals that in her marriage to performer Will Smith there have been "betrayals of the heart."

A sneak-peek clip shows the actress and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, joined by psychotherapist Esther Perel to candidly discuss the topic of infidelity. Jada's daughter, 18-year-old Willow Smith, is also a co-host on "Red Table Talk" but was absent during this particular episode.

The 60-second video shows Pinkett Smith ask Perel, "What are the alternatives of divorce? Everybody thinks that as soon as you find out there's an affair you gotta get a divorce."

"I'm am not of that persuasion," Perel answered, "because I think there are many relational betrayals. Contempt and neglect and violence and indifference..."

"And especially on women," the Belgian therapist continued, "It's the real new pressure. God forbid you still would love the person who actually, you know, cheated on you. Maybe that person is a lot of things and cheated on you."

47-year-old Pinkett Smith found Perel's answer relatable in regards to her marriage.

"I so relate to that," she explained, "because, you know, I'm asked a lot about 'Is there infidelity in your relationship with Will?' and it's like no, but, there have been other betrayals of the heart that have been far bigger than I can even think in regards to an infidelity situation."

Unfortunately, that is where the excerpt cuts off so viewers will have to wait to see if the actress goes into detail about these "betrayals of the heart." And, on whose end (hers or Will's) did the betrayals occur. Knowing the actress' history though, she most likely will.

The Smith's are not shy when it comes to the difficulties they have faced as a couple. People reported that in October, Will appeared on "Red Table Talk" and "opened up about how he healed his marriage to Pinkett Smith after a trying period."

"Red Table Talk" airs Mondays on Facebook Watch.
