The Powerball jackpot is set to climb after the Saturday drawing failed to produce a winner. The jackpot was worth an estimated $388.6 million, with a cash value of $199.1 million.

The winning lottery numbers drawn for Oct. 8 were 13, 43, 53, 60, and 68. The Powerball pull was 5, and the Power Play was 2X.

Since the latest jackpot went unclaimed, Monday night's jackpot will climb to an estimated $401 million, with a cash payout of $205.4 million.

There has not been a grand-prize winner since late July, when a player in Pennsylvania hit the $206.9 million jackpot.

Although there was no grand prize lottery winner following Saturday night's drawing, one player became an instant millionaire. A player from New York hit the Match 5 and won $1 million.

If the player had hit the Match 5 with the 2X Power Play purchase, they would have won $2 million. Several other players also walked away with smaller monetary prizes.

Sixteen players matched four white-ball numbers and the red Powerball, putting their winnings for the night at $50,000 apiece. Meanwhile, only two players hit the Match 4 and the red Powerball, winning $100,000 due to a Power Play purchase.

The rest of the prizes from the night ranged between $4 and $200. A total of 794,175 players took home prizes from the Saturday jackpot.

The latest jackpot comes after a player from Kentucky claimed a $50,000 prize. The winning ticket was purchased at an Express Mart in Russell Springs for the Oct. 1 drawing.

Gary Kinnett received a check for $35,500, after taxes, and plans to put the money toward helping his family.

"We are going to pay off our small bills and take a nice vacation. Money like this doesn't fall out of trees, we still work, and we help our kids and grandkids," Kinnett said.

"When we leave here, I'm going to get some new eyeglasses, and we are getting a grain bin gazebo," Kinnett said. "It's going to be so nice to sit around a fire pit and enjoy time with family and friends."

Jackpot winners need to match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination. Five numbers must be selected from 1 to 69 for the white balls, and a number is selected from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.

There is a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the Powerball jackpot. Powerball drawings take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
