“The Real Housewives of New York City” Season 11 has yet to premiere, but the cast of the show has already found themselves in the middle of some major drama. Bethenny Frankel recently surprised fans on Twitter when she seemingly shaded, then agreed with, Ramona Singer during a heated debate.

The drama started on Tuesday, during an episode of the “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” aftershow. At the time, the host called Singer to ask about her previous statement claiming that “RHONY” started the “Real Housewives” franchise rather than “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”

“RHOC” cast member Kelly Dodd revealed Singer stated the NYC cast was the first of the franchise, however, Singer stated she actually said the franchise “put Bravo on the map.” During the conversation, she credited the east coast show for bringing attention to the network, which “RHOC” failed to do.

Singer then incorrectly stated “The Real Housewives of New York City” aired before the California franchise and claimed someone from Bravo, whose name may be James Bond, thanked the New York cast for making the network popular.

Not long after the episode aired, Frankel took to Twitter to defend the “RHONY” star but appeared to shade Singer in the process.

“Well @Andy @ramonasinger cannot articulate her thought, but she is correct that when #rhony aired, the press covered it and gave it attention bc we live in the media epicenter & are more accessible to it. NY brought the sizzle but #RHOC started it all for which we are grateful,” she tweeted.

Fans of the reality series are well aware that it has been years since Frankel and Singer have been on good terms. Their friendship first began to fall apart during Season 3, when Singer implied Frankel’s relationship with now ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, wouldn’t last.

Things proceeded to get worse in the later seasons after Frankel accused Singer of stealing dresses and the 61-year-old brought attention to nude images from her co-star’s past.

Although Singer apologized to Frankel several times about her actions throughout Season 10 and followed the Skinnygirl founder on Instagram, the 47-year-old hasn’t expressed any interest in repairing their relationship.

“The Real Housewives of New York City” Season 11 is expected to premiere in 2019 on Bravo.
