Like so many other movies, Disney’s “Mulan” had to be delayed due to concerns stemming from the outbreak of coronavirus. Now, it is revealed that, following theater closures around the world, the movie might premiere on Disney+.

Comic Book revealed that a date for the movie premier on Disney+ was initially announced. It was set on October 27 this year. But the source of that information has since been deleted. The date was revealed through the work of Caroline, a Twitter user who inquired about the movie at Disney+ Help. Surprisingly, the online help desk answered, but the mention of the date has since been taken back.

"Hi Caroline, It'll be approximately available to subscribers on October 27, 2020," the reply reads. "Let us know anything you'd like to see added in the future here. Thank you for your time."

The date hasn’t also been confirmed on any of Disney’s digital channels yet, and it won’t be for some time, until there has been a chance to see whether theaters will open on time to feature the live-action film. Other speculations pointed towards the date being connected with Disney’s original plan of premiering the film after the COVID-19 situation.

As it goes, “Mulan” isn’t the only cinematic release within Disney’s slate to get a new premiere date. According to Teen Vogue, while “Mulan” is reportedly to arrive in theaters on July 24, there are others — like “Jungle Cruise” and “Black Widow” — which are all set to receive new release dates.

The date of the “Mulan” film was actually meant for “Jungle Cruise,” the premiere of which has since been moved to July 30. Meanwhile, “Black Widow” has been scheduled for November 2020, and other productions — like the live-action “Little Mermaid” film, which stars Halle Bailey — has been paused indefinitely.

There are other films that have received new release dates from the House of Mouse as well. Most of them are Marvel Studios films; “Eternals" has been set for February 12, 2021, while “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” will arrive on May 7 of the same year. For the 2022 lineup, “Thor: Love and Thunder,” “Black Panther 2,” and “Captain Marvel 2” will arrive on February 18, May 6, and July 8, respectively.

The new dates are, of course, subject to the re-opening or continued closure of cinemas due to the duration of the current coronavirus outbreak.
