Donald Trump and Melania Trump are not very affectionate towards each other. But it is still shocking every time the POTUS would leave his wife behind.

This week, Trump abandoned the FLOTUS as he made a dash from his presidential car to the Air Force One. The POTUS also left the first lady on the tarmac for a few minutes. Photos showed Melania wrapping herself in a scarf to keep herself from feeling cold.

However, this isn’t the first time that Trump seemingly forgot about his wife while they are on the tarmac. Earlier this month, a video showed the POTUS boarding a helicopter without the FLOTUS by his side.

The awkward moment became even more controversial after Trump looked behind to see where Melania was. And just a few weeks ago, the Trumps traveled to Florida for a quick weekend getaway with the first lady’s parents.

Another video showed the POTUS getting off the Air Force One with his 13-year-old son, Barron Trump, walking behind him. After greeting the officials, Trump walked ahead while waving to the crowds.

A few minutes later, Melania stepped out of the helicopter by herself. Luckily, her teenage son was waiting for her at the bottom of the steps. Since the POTUS walked ahead of his son and wife, he reached the private helicopter much sooner. As such, he was forced to wait until Melania arrived before they all boarded the plane.

Some critics couldn’t help but criticize Trump for not being a gentleman. Others also noticed how disconnected he was from his wife and son.

“Why does he not look connected to his boy or his wife. Like, at all. I mean, wow,” Twitter user @smeadow said.

“He never waits for his son and wife. Maybe it’s protocol but it looks weird,” Twitter user @DoctorS81156966 said.

“Obama always waited for Michelle and walked with her. Trump shows no such love and respect for his wife,” Twitter user @ModerateBetsy said.
