Ahead of Tuesday's Democratic presidential debate, Republican front-runner Donald Trump said on Twitter that he would be tweeting during the event. Trump's frank and frequent tweets have grabbed attention throughout the 2016 presidential race so far, as he has taken shots at opponents and criticized media outlets that he believes treat him unfairly.

With just five candidates in the Democratic debate, Tuesday's showdown is expected to be much less exciting than the last Republican debate. The dynamic created by Trump's presence in both of the Republican debates so far created a chaotic and sometimes ridiculous atmosphere. But on the Democratic side, the leading candidates have said they largely plan to stay away from personal attacks, which could make for more policy-focused discussion.

The New York billionaire wrote Tuesday morning that he would be live-tweeting the debate by popular demand, but that he did not think it would be much fun. Check back in Tuesday night as the debate unfolds to see the funniest and most outrageous tweets from Trump about the Democratic candidates.
